Wedding Tips:

After taking photographs at hundreds of weddings, we've learned whatClick for larger version works and what doesn't. Here are some of the tips we share with our brides:

  • Glittery makeup can make skin appear oily
  • Try on dress and all undergarments to be worn before the wedding day

The Wedding:

  • Don’t use paper streamers, they look like toilet paper in photos
  • Exchanging vows under an archway may make photography angles very difficult
  • See the changing room in advance, some are small with no mirrors. Make sure the room has air conditioning if you have a summer wedding
  • If your post-wedding photography time is limited, consider foregoing the receiving line and thank guests at the reception.

The Reception:

Don’t wait until late in the reception to:

  • Cut the cake, some people leave early and there will be more left over
  • Do a money dance; older guests tend to leave first and your friends will not part with their money to dance with you
  • Throw bouquet and garter, it’s a shame when there’s no one to catch them
